What Brought Me Here
I suppose the need to put food on the table and roof overhead was what brought me to working on the HMIS Admin team for N.C. in 2007. I worked in networking and database administration prior to that and was looking for a change that was more compatible with the demands of parenthood than fixing servers at 3:00 am. The more important question is, “Why did I stay?” I stayed because the process of using data to help solve real peoples’ very real problems was the biggest and most interesting puzzle that I’ve ever encountered. I moved from a staff admin role to a consulting role in 2014.
Providing Value By
I provide reporting, data analysis, data quality improvement, and administrative support assistance to HMIS implementations across the country. I consider each data point a part of the story of a real person having one of the worst moments of their life.
