Working with Home Stretch staff, Decipher led all design and build aspects of a robust MS Access database used to match high-needs Coordinated Entry clients to open housing units. Matches are based on individual clients project eligibility factors coming through Alameda's vulnerability assessment, including the Client's occupancy preferences.
Data from the HMIS By-Name-List was imported weekly to a hybrid database design where staff updated open, available units from property management companies. The database was designed to run matching processes to the available units, narrow down to a list of potential matches, create notifications to Housing Navigators for client readiness and track unit move-in dates.
The design encompasses all workflow stages of Coordinated Entry client unit matching and referring using a custom developed design.
